Your DIY wreath step by step guide

Thank you for purchasing one of our DIY wreath boxes. We hope you enjoy your natural, hand-made wreath and enjoy the process of creating it from the comfort of your own home.

Please see below our step by step guide of how to make your own wreath:

Step 1

Place your reel wire on your wreath ring on one of the quarter markers. Attach the wire by wrapping the wire around the ring.

Step 2

Create a 3cm loop with your reel wire.

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

To secure the loop, wrap the reel wire around your quarter marker. This loop will be used to hang your wreath. Keep your reel wire attached.

Step 4

Place a handful of moss on wreath ring and begin to wrap and secure your moss onto the ring with your wire.

Step 3

Step 4

Step 5

Repeat this process until all of your wreath ring is covered with a layer of moss.

Step 5

Step 5

Step 6

Create a small bunch using a variation of the ingredients.

Step 7

Place your bunch at the top of your ring (where your loop is) and wrap your reel wire all the way around to secure it to your ring.

Step 6

Step 7

Step 8

Create a second bunch and layer it on top of the stems of the first bunch, securing with your reel wire.

Step 9

Repeat in the same direction all the way around your ring, layering each bunch on top of the previous bunches stems, until all of the moss is covered and you have been around the whole ring. To add in the long stems of the pine cones, place these as separate clusters, using the same technique to secure on.

Step 8

Step 9

Step 10

You should finish layering your bunches where you started, which should be next to your loop where your reel wire was attached.

Step 11

When you have completed layering your bunches around the ring, simply snip the wire, leaving around 3 inches. This is to tie off and secure to your ring.

Step 10

Step 11

Step 12

To secure your wire, find the metal edge of the wreath ring. You may have to move a little bit of moss to find this. When you have found the edge of the ring, wrap your reel wire to this edge (like we did at the beginning) to secure everything together.

Step 13

Get your green stub wire and place the end within the lower grooves of the pine cone.

Step 12

Step 13

Step 14

Wrap the long end of the stub wire around the pine cone, placing into as many grooves as you can until it meets the short end.

Step 15

Twist the two ends together. You should still have a long length remaining.

Step 14

Step 15

Step 16

Pierce your long length of stub wire (with your pine cone on the end) into your wreath, anywhere you would like it to be placed.

Step 17

Pull through your stub wire to the under side of your wreath. Pull tight and bend your stub wire back on itself into the moss. Push in until secure.

Step 16

Step 17

Step 17

Step 17

Step 18

Repeat process with all of your pine cones.

Step 19

Grab your green stub wire again. Get two or three pieces of fruit slices and place on top of each other. Pierce the wire through both slices, near the peel. Keep one end of the stub wire long.

Step 20

Bend the ends until they meet, then twist together.

Step 19

Step 20

Step 20

Step 21

Step 21

Attach the fruit slices using the same process as the pine cones until you have all of your fruit slices in your wreath.

Step 22

Place your ribbon velvet side down on the length of a stub wire.

Step 23

Bring both ends of the stub wire together and twist.

Step 22

Step 23

Step 23

Step 24

Find the original loop which will show you where the top of your wreath is. Decide where you want to place your ribbon.

Step 25

Using the same process as you did on the pine cones and fruit slices, pierce your stub wire into the wreath until you can feel the end of the stub wire on the under side.

Step 26

Pull tight and bend your stub wire back on itself. Push until secure.

Step 27

Your wreath is complete. You can use the loop to hang your wreath.
